Council.<br\/>The deadline for submitting nominations is determined by the Board of the Estonian Music Council.<br\/>The awards are presented on International Music Day, 1 October.<br\/>The recipients Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and for outstanding solo performance activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Olav Ehala (born 1950) is one of the most beloved and frequently performed Estonian composers. He has written music for more than sixty stage productions, the most notable of which include: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Olav Ehala is the composer of \u201cNukitsamees\u201d (both the film and musical versions) and the musicals \u201cSabata krokodill,\u201d \u201cOliver ja Jennyfer,\u201d \u201cJohnny,\u201d \u201cBurattino,\u201d \u201cThijl Ulenspiegel,\u201d and \u201cKaotajad.\u201d<br\/>He has written music for more than 40 films, including \u201cDon Juan Tallinnas,\u201d \u201cKaroliine h\u00f5bel\u00f5ng,\u201d \u201cTap\u00f6\u00f6r,\u201d \u201cTulivesi,\u201d \u201cLurjus,\u201d \u201cKallis H\u00e4rra Q,\u201d Priit P\u00e4rn\u2019s animated films \u201cJa teeb trikke\u2026,\u201d \u201cHarjutusi iseseisvaks eluks,\u201d \u201cKolmnurk,\u201d \u201cAeg maha,\u201d \u201cEine murul,\u201d \u201cHotell E,\u201d \u201c1895,\u201d \u201cPorgandite \u00f6\u00f6,\u201d \u201cKarl ja Marilyn,\u201d Riho Unt\u2019s \u201cKapsapea,\u201d \u201cTagasi Euroopasse,\u201d \u201cPliuhkam internetis,\u201d the series \u201cTom ja Fluffy\u201d and \u201cLotte\u201d by Janno P\u00f5ldma and Heiki Ernits, and Rao Heidmets\u2019s \u201cPapa Carlo teater\u201d and \u201cNoblesse Oblige,\u201d among others.<br\/>Since 1991, Olav Ehala has been a faculty member at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, and since 2001 he has served as Chairman of the Estonian Composers\u2019 Union.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arvo Leibur (born 1964) has distinguished himself in both Estonian and Dutch musical life as a concertmaster and soloist with various orchestras. He is in his fifth season as concertmaster of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestraand has served as concertmaster of the Amsterdam-based Holland Symfonia since 1995. He has appeared as a soloist with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra on more than 20 occasions since 1981.<br\/><br\/>In addition to solo concerts, he has attracted the attention of audiences and music critics alike for his filigree orchestral solos and his work as a chamber musician.
