International Music Day
Music Day, held on October 1st, is a major event for the industry. The aim of International Music Day is to raise awareness and value music culture, recognize contributors, and improve the public’s access to professional music events. Music Day raises society’s awareness of music, promotes and values Estonian composition and interpretation, focuses on fostering new talent and audience development, and ensures the availability of high-quality music events. Competitions
The Estonian String Players’ Competition is a springboard for talented local string players.
Classical Album of the Year
Since 2014, the Estonian Music Council, together with the Estonian Association of Phonogram Producers, has recognised outstanding classical music albums by presenting the “Classical Album of the Year” award at the Estonian Music Awards gala.
Music Award
In recognition of Estonian musicians or music institutions whose activities have contributed to the development of the music sector, the Estonian Music Council has been awarding music prizes since 2002.
